The Golden Tears

The weather in the country is so hot that everyone is seeking shelter, the road so busy that school children, market women, civil servants as well as lunatics fill the road. The traffic warden controlling the movement of people and vehicles is so much soaked in sweat that it’s as if he has been immersed in a pool. In fact, if care is not taken, he might be mistaken for a mad man. Because he is already confused as the number of the vehicles on the road is innumerable. To worsen the situation, the sky has started gathering cloud and in no time, rain started falling. This type of a situation is one that brings tears to commuters’ eyes because the situation of the road is more than worst. This is as a result of the fact that, the road is filled with so much potholes. On rainy days, the journey that should normally take few minutes to travel, might be converted to long hours if not the whole day. In the midst of these, that the blaring of a siren is heard from afar. It is an ambulance. There seem to be an emergency and the traffic warden Is trying as much he can to clear the road for the ambulance. As much as he is trying, all his efforts are futile. It’s either a vehicle breaks down and other vehicles start colliding with it, or a vehicle gets stuck up in the mud.
Inside the ambulance is a young man soaked in blood lying lifeless on a stretcher as drip is being applied into his system. The Youngman whose name is James is being attended to by 2 female nurses.
With the situation on the road, Monsuru, the driver of the ambulance who is used to plying the road manipulates his way through the other vehicles. Monsuru is the senior driver of BATMAN SPECIALIST HOSPITAL. One of the best hospitals in the city. He is known for his professionalism when on the wheel.
As the nurses are struggling to save James’ life and Suraju is trying to pave way for them to get out of the traffic jam, something shocking happened that got life out of everybody’s mouth including the dying james…
